The Challenge
Unlimited Financials, our best-in-class revenue cycle management (RCM) platform, is emerging as a top competitor in the specialty healthcare space. Our company is in a season of both Product optimization and new omni-channel Marketing deployment. With cross-functional projects moving simultaneously to elevate our customer experience, we need a Visual Designer to organize all design efforts and elevate our visual brand standards across the organization. Reporting to our Art Director, our Visual Designer will provide a much-needed focus on visual coherence and excellence as we look to uplevel the look and feel of our product and user experience. As a new position, our Visual Designer will integrate within our Product and design teams to build, manage, and evolve design assets, to serve as a thought leader and brand standards keeper, to act as a system implementor, and to operate as a collaborative bridge between Product and Marketing.
In other words, our Visual Designer will have their hands on all graphic elements that reach our end users and will champion their excellence and evolution as we reach new markets and rapidly scale our brand’s reach.
The Position
A full-time, hybrid role reporting to our Art Director, our Visual Designer will work frequently from our headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. Residency in the state of Ohio is preferred.
As Visual Designer, you will have the opportunity to impact our brand identity today and into the future. You will help to grow our Product and Marketing design, and you will be given the opportunity to grow as well through the opportunity to champion influential work across our teams.
This position will be accountable for:
The production of visual assets for internal and external use
The creation of Marketing collateral (e.g.; landing pages, social graphics, templates, ads, etc.)
The creation of content visuals for internal and Product-related uses (e.g.; customer diagrams, infographics, hero images for blog posts, etc.)
“Mascot” management; building and maintaining a library of visual assets pertaining to Unlimited’s brand mascots
The creation, management, and adoption of brand templates
Brand identity refinement; contributing thought leadership and visual application to our brand imagery and championing its scalability into the future (e.g.; iconography, illustration consistent with branding, typography, coloring, etc.)
Acting as a bridge between our Product and Marketing teams (e.g.; helping to ensure smooth visual onboarding for our customers, supporting data visualizations that help communicate technical problems to our non-technical end-users, and more)
The Person
This position will offer you the chance to influence thinking and decision-making within our company, while getting your hands dirty with production and execution. You'll experience autonomy, authority...and ambiguity. You’ll be asked to create and innovate within the construct of corporate design but will be looked to as a thought leader for how to bring fresh energy to those design limitations. Art can be energizing, but we don’t have the luxury of holding it too preciously. You’ll be a ninja of vision with a heart for collaboration and problem-solving. If you feel comfortable with self-direction, with sprinting through sometimes shifting priorities, and feel comfortable with the understanding that at times you'll have the absence of a deadlines while assuming tomorrow is your deadline – this position might be a fit for you.

Qualifications
A degree in fine arts, print design, graphic design, or similar field preferred
3-5 years of previous experience working in a design role
Proven experience with Adobe creative suite
Proven experience working with CMYK and RGB
Experience working in print, preferred
Experience working with marketing and communications, preferred
Residency in the state of Ohio, preferred
